Banned From the Dictionary

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “No, Thank You.”

There isn’t just one word I would ban from common usage.  I wouldn’t ban curse words, but I would ban words that can be just as bad.  I would ban any word that, in certain contexts, can contribute to insecurities and anxiety.  I would have a lot more peace of mind and self-confidence if people didn’t drag me down with words.  They seem harmless – don’t get me wrong, the words themselves are – but the context in which they are used can do a lot of damage.  Think before you speak, and choose your words carefully.
