It’s a sequel 13 years in the making, and it was great. This time, Dory is on a quest to find her parents. She was born at the Marine Life Institute, and she’s trying to find her way back.
Young Dory was adorable. Her short term memory might not be that great, but Dory’s long term memory is excellent. I enjoyed the flashbacks to her childhood. The movie was funny, but I think Mom and I were the only ones laughing in the theater, which was kind of awkward. Ty Burrell and Ed O’Neill were really fun. And of course, you can’t have Dory without Ellen DeGeneres. I feel like the two are synonymous at this point. She was great too. It also had its share of heartwarming moments. I appreciated that; It had just the right mix of fun and serious.
