The Legend of Tarzan

On Wednesday night, I saw The Legend of Tarzan.  It wasn’t Disney’s Tarzan.  It was better.
It started with him already in London, going by his given name, John Clayton III.  And honestly, Alexander Skarsgård (John/Tarzan) is easy on the eyes.

Anyway, back to the movie itself.  Leon Rom, a diplomat on behalf of King Leopold, plans a scheme to lure John to the Congo, but his motives aren’t at all what they seem.

I liked the way the movie started because it wasn’t what I expected.  I loved the flashbacks to John’s childhood in the jungle, but the apes were kind of scary looking.  Jane looked the same in the flashbacks as she did now, which I found somewhat odd.  How do you not age?  But Margot Robbie is really pretty either way, so no complaints here. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
