Apathetic Numbness

Since my graduation from college in May, I’ve pretty much felt every emotion possible.  Happy, sad, excited, scared – the whole nine yards.  Something else I’ve learned is that some people have no idea how anxiety works.

I read a post my friend shared on Facebook Friday:  “26 Things You do As An Adult When You’ve Experienced Childhood Emotional Abuse”.  It was scary how much sense some of it made.

All I have to say is this:  Whoever said “sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can never hurt you” was a liar.
