I’ve had some trouble with podcasts in the past. The app on my iPhone deleted all of them, so I gave up on listening for awhile.
But eventually, I realized I really missed listening to some of them, so I downloaded them again. Here are a few of my favorites:
- 10% Happier with Dan Harris – this was my gateway podcast. This is based on Dan’s book about meditation of the same name, which helped me establish a meditation practice of my own. The interviews are really insightful, and it’s nice to know I’m not the only person who meditates.
- Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People – I love this one. One hour, no names, no holds barred. Comedian Chris Gethard talks to a random person for one hour, and it’s a really interesting window into someone else’s life. Gethard is a really great guy, someone people can (obviously) open up to. I tried to call in once when he tweeted out the phone number, but the line was busy. I told myself I’d try again once I caught up on all the episodes. I’ve caught up, but I still haven’t called in.
- My Favorite Murder – Murder isn’t funny, but Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark’s commentary on it – and whatever else they happen to talk about – is. I can’t describe it any other way. You’ll just have to listen to it.
That’s all I’ve got for now. Stay tuned!
