Three weeks ago, I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in concert with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
It wasn’t as crowded as The Sorcerer’s Stone had been, which was somewhat disappointing. I mean, why see the first movie but not the others? Despite the empty seats, I still had a hard time hearing the behind-the-scenes things about the music in the beginning, so for a little bit, I was wondering whether I was deaf. I don’t think I am yet.
It was more fun and more blah at the same time. I was really excited during some parts, as any Potterhead would be, and a few times, that translated into a really high-pitched scream, which my mother was annoyed at me for. She called it ear piercing, and she seemed to be worried about whether I was bothering the people sitting next to me. Why not just let me have fun?
Anyway, the movie seemed to be on par with the book. At least, if there were inconsistencies between the two I couldn’t tell. Maybe that’s because I dragged out rereading the book (I finished it – along with the Spanish translation – later that day).
Next up is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. And this time, I took a picture of the ticket discount code.
